January 1st, 2018 brought in a chilly temp of -12 with a windchill -30 today. And through it all these ducks prevail - thank goodness. I am trading out frozen buckets of water for thawed buckets of water three times a day instead of trying to keep their heated bucket from freezing - it just can't keep up. Lots of extra treats for nourishment also help keep them happy in this super cold. The sunshine the past couple of days has helped, too, but tomorrow is supposed to be frightfully frigid again. I bet they think Spring every minute right now.
